Scott Evans, Artistic Director

Scott has directed new works for the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, the American Music Theatre Project, Theatre Aspen, and the In the Works ~ In the Woods Theatre Festival. Other directing includes A Musical Christmas Carol for Pittsburgh CLO (starring Richard Thomas, Michael Cerveris, Charles Shaughnessy, Mark Jacoby, 2020 PBS Broadcast), as well as regional and university productions of Hand to God, Rooted, The Ruby Sunrise, Boeing Boeing, Biloxi Blues, The Foreigner, The Fantasticks, and Puffs. He was Associate Director for the NY Premiere of Jeffrey Hatcher’s Ten Chimneys, the Off-Broadway revival of The Silver Cord, and the world premieres of Gut Bucket Blues and Shakin’ the Rafters at Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre in Atlanta. As an Associate Artist with the American Music Theatre Project, Scott directed and consulted on new work development and was resident dramaturg for the annual collaboration between Northwestern University and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival). He is a former new works mentor for the O’Neill’s National Music Theater Conference and director with the NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.

Robert Macdonald, Executive Director

Robert is a retired investment / financial services executive and long-time supporter of the theatrical arts in the US and UK. He is a founding trustee of Somerled Arts and Somerled’s Scottish affiliate, Thistledown Arts. He also serves on the boards of several other arts and health care related charities.

Wendy Macdonald, Managing Director

Wendy attended the Berklee College of Music and is a graduate of The Broadway League’s Commercial Theater Institute 14-Week Producing Intensive (Spring 2011). As a freelance musician, Wendy toured the U.S., Canada, Europe, South America, Japan, and Taiwan with the Artie Shaw Orchestra, Harry James Orchestra, Benny Goodman Tribute Orchestra, and Makoto Ozone Big Band. She has also performed with major artists including Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, Rosemary Clooney, Paul Anka, Johnny Mathis, The Temptations, The Four Tops and Manhattan Transfer. During her 30 years as a musician Wendy played in the pit orchestra for hundreds of musicals throughout New England, and was a member of The American Federation of Musicians.
